The Urris Empire was one of the most influential states of the fourth millenium. It imposed the Peace of Urris in 3796, shaping the world politics until its fall in 4000, during the Eruption of the Urrian Traps.

History

Before the Empire: Micium Urris Magocracy (3200-3470)

Tulast, was the prince of Urris, an independent state but with a close relationship with the Micium magocracies. He was chosen as successor of the Pexnish Archimage (southern Gram with Nemu as capital) . When he inherited the title in 3200, he moved the capital to Navatum and renamed it Urris Magocracy. He annexed the Vimum and Sblarfum principalities. This sparked a rebellion in the Sblarflozi, which ended in 3233 with the annexation of most of the Sblarflozi to the magocracy with the exception of the northern part which formed an independent republic.

He declared war on the Urrimiao Magocracy fully conquering it in 3248. With all of Urris under his control he moved his focus. In the following years Tulast conquered the Brumum (3251) and Nonum (3276) magocracies, in the archipelagoes between southern Gram and Urris. Both of these Archimages were forced to commit suicide and Tulast claimed their Croms. The Archimage Council declared acceptable that he held the three Croms but imposed that he chose a different successor for each.

After the the death of Tulast in 3297, the Micium Urris Magocracy was governed by a Triumvirate of the three successor Archimages, residing in Navatum, Nonum and Brumum. In the following century, the magocracy conquered the equatorial archipelagoes westward of Urris and Tluc Cape. In 3440 the south of Stu was conquered from Amestin and the Stumi tribes. Between 3468 and 3470 the magocracy raided Amestin and Aoner territories on the Mibfoc, sacking Nemibfo and Birbor.

Birth of the Empire (3470-3485)

Pevenest Teduria was from a noble family from Urris (her cousin Villum-Trimaenao Teduria was Prince of Mastria and her brother Villum-Meris Teduria was prince of Stu), as such she ruled over small territories in Urris. But was also military governor of the Amestin province south of the Mibfoc (chosen by the Amestin Emperor for he commanding skills, to control the border with Xandoria) . She lost fealty in the magocracy when in 3469 the Archimages let their armies raid her territories on the Mibfoc. In 3470 a coup was organized with the help of most of the nobles of the Urris magocracy. Pevenest obtained the support of Amestin and Aoner fleets. The first step was the assasination of the three Urris Archimages, which was carried out by the Aoner Archimage and the two Amestin Archimages. The Urris Archimages were taken by surprise in their respective residences. After their death, Pevenest sieged and conquered Navatum, while the other cities were already in the hands of allied nobles or were swiftly taken. Aoner and Amestin fleets, helped in controlling the equatorial archipelagoes and Tluc Cape. Before the end of the year, all the princes of the old Magocracy submitted to Pevenest, she was crowned Empress in 3471. The administration of the Empire evolved drastically compared to the one of the Magocracy, Pevenest based these changes mostly on the Amestin bureaucratic system. The noble families that supported Pevenest during the coup were granted most of the territories of those who stayed loyal to the Archimages.

During the following Archimage council in 3483 (by petition of the Aoner, Elesmiao and Amestin Archimages) it was decided to permanently inscribe the Croms of the three Urris Archimages with a spell binding them to the service of the Urris Empire.

Lack period(3485-3720)

The relationship between Urris and Amestin deteriorated after the death of Pevenest in 3485, this lead to a war in Stu between 3487 and 3492. The war ended with the retreat of the Urris Empire from southern Stu. In 3501 the Prince-Governor of Dimmum (southern Gram) rebelled and gained independence. This hindered the stability of the whole Empire, which now had no easy access to any regions to source iron ore to produce steel (its biggest export). The following century Urris was in a decadent state, but some emperors nevertheless tried to take back Stu (in 3523, 3527, 3555) and Dimmum (in 3535, 3564, 3587, 3591). These military campaigns were vastly unsuccessful and plunged the Empire in a greater economic decline which triggered more rebellions from nobles and tribes all over the Empire.

Urris steel production would see new growth when the Mialof Republic took over the Elesmiao and Aoner magocracies and opened trade to the Urris Empire. The alliance with the Republic in 3593 granted the Urris Empire with a steady supply of iron ore and better trade with all of Miaotir. The following emperors took a more defensive stance, securing their territories, this allowed demographic expansion. Some changes in doctrine influenced by Mialof allowed for more people to receive education.

In 3705 the Urris Empire fought in the Amestin succession war on the side of Stoluu (with Mialof). Its attack of Nemibfo in 3710, even if unsuccessful allowed the Mialof Republic to take the city later. In 3718 Urris attacked the Dimmum principality while it was under heavy pressure from both the Gram Republic and the Vimmic tribes.

Gold from steel (3720-3796)

Urris finally reconquered the territories of Southern Gram in 3721, with the support of the Silperom and Vimum Principalities. In Nemu the Emperor Envoys discovered old research and new discoveries which helped Urris Archimages to develop new recipes for steel. These allowed Urris to greatly expand its military and fleet. New armored ships were used to attack Amestin (still under the Succession War), mostly Tlucacri and other cities of eastern Tluctir between 3720-3730 (territories under the control of Tufnuskaras). However, even if Stoluu reigned victorious over Amestin after 3732, Urris kept attacking Amestin. This culminated in a large campaign to conquer Stu in 3735. The Urris armies were at this point largely superior to any other. Which let them expand their territories in the following decades. The Sblarflozi was conquered in 3736. Ruoiv in 3745. South-East of Accriem in 3750.

In 3740 the alliance with the Mialof Republic is renewed and strengthened. This laid the foundation for the peace of Urris, which was declared by Emperor Xavamis in Miaopiaotiao in 3796. It was signed by all the influential states of the time. This treaty effectively froze all borders and wars were officially prohibited. Urris received the monopoly of steel production and the Mialof Republic trading privileges.
