History

Late Paleolithic (50000 BA, 1200BA)

In the late paleolithic (around 50000BA Flying Cats greatly improved their stone tools making. They mainly used flint or obsidian to make finely sculpted projectiles (using pressure point technique). This allowed them to craft harpoons, spears and other tools. The spear thrower was developed around 40000BA and the bow 7000BA. Flying cats also had a variety of other tools, like simple boats and ropes. Proper outrigger canoes with simple sails were developed around 1600 BA. This allowed them to efficiently hunt in the open sea. During this period clothing was simple and made from animal skins or crudely woven plants.

Agriculture was adopted by the Miao people around 1300BA, they transitioned from gathering to cultivating trees and smaller plants inside the forests of Miaopiaotiao. Pottery was developed by the Muccin at the same time. These discoveries spread to the other nations in the following centuries.

Until 1500BA all Flying Cats lived on cliff built "nests", these were built of woven branches and covered with animal skins or leaves. However later, some tribes began living more inland in wooden huts. The

Neolithic (1200 BA, 0BA)

Around 1200 BA the Micium developed polished stone tool making, this technique replaced the older ones in only a hundred years. This allowed the Miao to cultivate on larger scale by clearing the forests. Miao lived in large wooden houses, while between 700BA-500BA they built the temple of Semor, a megalithic structure composed of a grid of shaped limestone boulders enclosing small cultivated ponds. This underlines the development of more advanced stone-working techniques. This same techniques were also used by the Maccin to dig habitations in the coastal cliffs or by the Muccin in the construction of aquaculture basins.

In this period Mecim greatly innovated the weaving techniques, by making more robust nets and tightly woven cloth to wear or use as sails. Their craft was kept secret until Altam arrival.

Altam brought a period of cultural exchange which greatly helped the acceleration of technological discoveries.
