Gram Republic
The Gram Republic was a state that ruled over most of Gramtir. It was founded in 3421AA when the Republic City-States of Eastern Gram allied to form what will become the Gram Republic.
History
After 3120, when the Republic of Emudor had been conquered by the Mulmac magocracy, the city elite was exiled in the Gram marshes. There their democratic values spread quickly between the Gram marsh tribes. They helped them organize and a council to oversee all the tribes was elected. This helped them fend off the expansion of the southern kingdoms. After the year 3200 the eastern coast cities became republics one by one, under the pressure of the merchants (who mostly came from the marsh tribes). In 3421 the eastern cities and the marsh tribes grouped under a single Republic. This new centralized state was formed of a central senate of two elected members from each city council and two elected members from the Marsh Council.
