Mirmiao

From Wikibundi

The Mirmiao, were nomadic Miao nations that followed mainly the cult of Mir (with the Merimiao). They departed from Urris in 781 AA because of the overpopulation. Their territories spanned the middle Mibfoc valley. In contrary to most Miao tribes, they didn't cultivate, so they mostly expanded in the forests, while the Fiaomiao, Lerimiao and followed the rivers. Mirrenism was formalized in 1231 by the priest Niavei. This religion shunned agriculture and fixed settlements. This sparked a series of conflicts with the river Miao tribes, until 2049 when with the help of the Miao archimage fleeing Urris allied with them and pushed back the Mirmiao inside the deepest forests. In the following centuries, the Mirmiao lost even more territories. However, in the year 2703 the High Priest of Mir, designated the Tribe Chief Selmesan of the Pundmirmia Tribe to become the Protector of Mir. Selmesan organized a much more structured state, called Maomir. The Maomir Kingdom controlled a small part of Mirmiao territories, however the king could call all the tribes to protect or invade exterior territories. The Maomir kingdom fought multiple wars against the Elesmiao Magocracy and then the Mialof Republic.

The Mirmiao had one major population center (also called Mirmiao), it gathered a great number of tribes each year during autumn. It was built around the Great Temple of Mir, which had been built in 1900 AA, however it was expanded multiple times.

The Maomir Kingdom was finally conquered in 3752 by the Mialof Republic and the Dan County, the Great Temple of Mir was plundered and multiple tribes were killed, displaced or forced to settle.

The last Free Mirmiao, lost their territories at the end of the two year winter, in 4003. However, Mirmiao tribes still survived and lived illegally in the forests of the Mibfoc Valley, because in most territories Mirrenism was shunned. They formed some of the most dangerous brigand bands in the Mialof Republic. However, some hid their religion and integrated the Mialof society. Some other tribes fled to South to the Merimiao territories, the Lermac Kingdom, the Corthò or the Vivasen Kingdom; other fled north to the Lixao Empire.
